Common questions
Your Questions, Answered
How soon can a plumber be at my place?
Same-day service is the standard, not the exception. Ring first thing and there's a good chance the drain is running clear again before the afternoon's out.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes. A real person answers the phone, day or night, weekends and public holidays included. There's no answering service to sit through.
What counts as a drain emergency?
Wastewater rising back up into the shower or bathroom floor waste, a gully spilling over outside, or a couple of fixtures clogging together. Any one of those is worth ringing about straight away.
What happens once I've phoned you?
One of our plumbers talks you through the symptoms, we book you a time that suits, usually the same day, and you get the price confirmed before anyone lifts a tool.
What deals can new customers get?
New customers get $65 off their first service. There's also a free CCTV inspection with any jet blast, a free plumbing check on jobs over $200, a free garden tap with any paid job, and 20% off for seniors.
What does "$65 off your first service" cover?
The $65 is deducted from your first bill as a new customer, whichever drain problem we end up fixing. The only condition is that it's your first booking with us.
What does "from $89" actually include?
That covers a straightforward blocked drain we can reach without breaking ground or running a camera first. Where the job runs deeper than that, we price it on the spot once we've seen it.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. Having us come out and assess the drain doesn't cost you a cent, even if you decide not to proceed.
Do you actually know Greystanes, or just cover it?
Greystanes is part of our regular run, not a suburb we're visiting for the first time. We're through this pocket of Cumberland most weeks, out past Central Gardens Nature Reserve and the Greystanes Shopping Centre, not just when the phone rings.
Which suburbs do you cover?
Greystanes plus the neighbouring suburbs of Merrylands, Wentworthville, Pendle Hill, Smithfield and Guildford. If you're close by and unsure, give us a ring and ask.
Do you handle strata and units?
Yes. Blocked drains in units and strata blocks often involve shared lines, so we confirm whether the fault sits on private or common property before quoting.
Do you work on new estates and renovation jobs too?
Yes, right alongside the older single-storey homes that fill most streets around here. Newer builds still block, usually from construction debris rather than roots.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. NSW Plumbing Licence #465156C, and every job is done by licensed plumbers and gas fitters, fully insured.
For a blocked sewer, is it my problem or the water authority's?
As a general rule, the public main and the connection point sit with the authority, while everything past the boundary is your line to maintain. We can usually tell you where the blockage falls against that boundary.
Is clearing a drain something I can do myself?
Reaching for a plunger or running hot water is fine for a minor kitchen or bathroom clog. Past that point, NSW law keeps drainage work with a licensed tradesperson only.
Which rules govern drainage work in NSW?
The AS/NZS 3500 series is the benchmark here, the accepted set of rules for how pipework has to be installed, sized and connected. We build every job to it.
